We continue to liaise with the City of Calgary, as they are responsible for the general maintenance, mowing and weeding in Cougar Ridge. We do not yet have an enhanced landscaping agreement and therefore have not taken over any of this general maintenance from the City. If you see issues with mowing/weeding that needs to be be done, please email us but first contact the City's 311 system, and register a complaint.

Trimming Along Fence Lines
06.24.2010
Please be aware that the City of Calgary Parks Department will no longer trim along fence lines. They will cut grass as close to the fence as possible with the mowers. It will be the responsibility of the homeowners residing along the fence to trim when they are caring for their lawn. This adjustment in the Parks Department policy will allow them to focus some hours on cleaning and trimming park bush areas. Thank you to all Cougar Ridge residents for taking a few minutes to trim along their fence line and contributing to a beautiful community we can all be proud of.
Graffiti Vandalism
03.20.2010
- There has been a spike in graffiti vandalism in Cougar Ridge.
- Remove graffiti from your property as soon as you notice it. The City of Calgary offers the Private Graffiti Abatement Program to help residents and business owners remove graffiti from their private property. Under the program, residents can pay a $25 fee and sign a waiver granting a City contractor permission to remove the graffiti. All revenue is reinvested into the program.
- Record the crime by taking pictures of the vandalism.
- Report graffiti on City or private property by calling 3-1-1. If you see someone in the act of putting up graffiti anywhere in the city, please call the police at 9-1-1.
While the CRRA is not responsible for combating graffiti vandalism, many residents contact us to see what can be done about it.
The Calgary Police Service and the City of Calgary's Animal and Bylaw Services takes graffiti vandalism very seriously. They recommend that if you see graffiti you:
